The Filipino Parol: A Symbol of Light, Hope, and Christmas

A parol is a traditional Filipino Christmas lantern, most commonly shaped like a five-pointed star. More than just a festive decoration, it symbolizes hope, faith, and the guiding light of the Christmas season.

In the Philippines, parols brighten homes, streets, churches, and communities during the holidays. Their colorful designs and glowing lights bring a special kind of warmth and joy, reflecting the Filipino spirit of celebrating Christmas with family, generosity, and togetherness.

At Bloom & Likha Shop, every handmade parol is created with love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for Filipino heritage. Each piece brings a touch of the Philippines into your home, helping Filipino families abroad stay connected to their traditions while sharing the beauty of Filipino culture with others.

Whether displayed on a wall, in a window, or as part of your holiday decorations, a parol is more than a Christmas ornament. It is a little piece of Filipino tradition that shines with meaning, memories, and the joy of the season.
